The Montalto Dora Airfied is a grass runway open to motor, gliding and ULM non commercial air traffic. The runway is a few kilometers far from Ivrea, within the Piemonte region, near the Aosta Valley.

Thanks to it's particular location, the airfield is a very interesting starting point both for mountain flights or gliding activites and for easy flying over the Piemonte hills and small or big lakes such as the Lago Maggiore or the Lago di Como.
The aerodrome is about 15 minutes of flight far from Biella Airport (LILE) and less than half an hour from Torino Aeritalia airport (LIMA) or Aosta airport (LIMW).

These are the runway data:

Surface: grass
Length: 620 m
Width: 30 m
Altitude: 246 m
Orientation: 14-32

The aerodrome hosts also the Avioclub Montalto. The club fleet is made of:

1 Motorfalke motorglider SF-25C (D-KGAD)
1 Blanik L-13 glider (I-SURC)
1 Phoebus B1 glider (I-LBOS)
1 Socata MS-893 airplane (I-SLOT)
1 ultra light STOL plane

The club's hangar hosts several private planes also.
The club's flight and gliding activity is generally concentrated during week-ends and other non working days.
